Fook,
Nevermind, try again next year! You now have marathon experience, with the proper training and preparation, sure you will improve on your next attempt.

fook: no worries. i still remember the suffering and timing i had in my maiden marathon in 1985, clocked almost 6hrs with serious cramps on both legs and almost near dehydration. you will be more experience in the next race

My friend, you did well considering the circumstances. I'll try to be there for KLIM. Meanwhile I hope your new job gives you time to run and train as well. Good luck!

Just goes to show how difficult a marathon can be. You have to respect the distance. I myself experienced it the hard way last year in Singapore 2005. I now know that I will not run a marathon unless I have trained properly for it. There should be a period of at least 4-6 months training incorporating long runs and lactate threshold workouts. Take care.

grace: malu la... i ran 18k only haha... u the best run until 36km.
pm19: i found out the hard way too, agreed wit wat u told me, respect the distance and train properly, i was not well prepared for the marathon, in future will do more of 21k and 10k before go back to 42k.

I did 21.1km!! first 10km was 1H 15m. next 11 km, shoes burning. At 19th km at 2H 25m, I walked to cool down my feet n PECUT!
18, 21 or 36km, doesn't matter -U have completed the run!! Admired 4 yr spirit -U took challenges w/o prep. All glory to God!
